Java Web Service Development

  • Designed Content-based Recommendation algorithm to provide personal event recommendation

  • Developed an interactive web page for users to search events, add favorites and view recommendations (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Utilized Java servlets to deal with HTTP requests and responses

  • Built MySQL database to store event information from Ticketmaster API

  • Improved performance by deploying server side to Amazon EC2
